All vehicles must remain at campsites during event unless leaving campgrounds.

For safety reasons ALL PETS will need to be on leashes and kept at campsites only.

7:15-9:00 am     PANCAKE BREAKFAST - Radiant Life Church will be providing a free pancake breakfast before the fishing tournament at the New Strawn Community Center.

9-10:30 am       FISHING TOURNAMENT AT NEW STRAWN LAKE – CATCH AND RELEASE - Kids under 9 are required to have a responsible adult in attendance. Please bring your own fishing pole. No artificial lures or outside bait will be allowed. Participants must us the worms that will be provided. Sponsored by the Coffey County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Wildlife and Parks, and Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge.  Registration begins at 8:15.

10:30-2:30 pm    FACE PAINTING – Take a walk on the wildside by joining the face painters from BHS Art Club.

10:30-4:30 pm    YARD GAMES - Challenge your family and friends to some fun competition by participating in a variety of these games.

11:00-4:30 am    BUBBLE, SIDEWALK CHALK, & COOLING STATIONS – Get artistic and creative with this new sensory event. Sponsored by Coffey County Mothers of Pre-Schoolers.

                     STORYTIME TRAIL – Let the story be your guide on this nature walk. Provided by Coffey County Library – New Strawn.

11:30-12:30 pm   FREE LUNCH AT RIVERSIDE WEST, SHELTER HOUSE #6 - Enjoy a grilled hot dog, and chips courtesy of Coffey Health System.

1:00-4:30 pm                 ONGOING ACTIVITIES AT RIVERSIDE WEST

  • Boat Rides – Take a family cruise on the lake. This event is weather permitting and transportation will be provided from shelter house #6.

  • Disc Golf – Try your luck with this popular sport that is new to Coffey County. Equipment is provided.

  • Canoeing – Canoes and lifejackets provided. Coffey County Water rescue will supervise.

  • “Smokey Bear” will be in attendance throughout the day.

  • Putt-Putt – Challenge your friends and family at our new putt-putt course. Provided by Coffey County Library – New Strawn.

  • Pellet Shoot – Test your marksmanship skills at this booth.

  • Pedal Cars – Learn the dangers of drinking and driving in this eye opening event.

  • Archery – This popular event is back again this year and will be run by SEK Buck Busters Archery Club.

  • Paintball Shoot – Equipment and supplies provided by CC Sheriff Reserves.

  • Rope Bridge – Picture yourself above the Grand Canyon as you traverse this manmade bridge.

  • Inflatables – Challenge your friends or family on one of these inflatables.

  • Horse Rides – Enjoy a hand-led ride on one of man’s best friends.

  • Build a Birdhouse – Build a birdhouse with the Wolf Creek Green Team. All materials and tools provided.

  • Milk Crate Climb - Test your skill and balance against your friends as you see how high you can go.

  • Jet Ski Simulator – Satisfy your need for speed with this interactive event.

  • Sling Shot Target Shooting – Shoot wildlife decoys, metal, & movable targets at this brand new event. Provided by Burlington Police Department and Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge

  • Trap Shooting - Kansas Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism and Quail Forever will be hosting this year’s event which is located at the Coffey County gun club, South end of the dam. Participants do not need a hunter’s safety card and should not bring their own firearms as everything needed will be provided. Transportation will be provided to this event every 30 minutes from shelter house #6 starting at 12:45.

  • Music – Provided by Jeremy & Tara Lind, Wild Voice Entertainment.

1:30-2:30 pm     FIREFIGHTERS COMPETITION – Wear your swimsuit and be ready to get wet!

4:30-5:00 pm    MAGIC BY PETE – Pete is back again for another year and will be performing a stage show before our evening supper. Sponsored by The Medicine Shoppe.

5:30-7:00 pm    FREE SUPPER AT RIVERSIDE WEST, SHELTER HOUSE #6 – The Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a BBQ supper. Local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will be having a dessert cooking contest to go along with ice cream for dessert.

                    HAYRACK RIDES – Bikes are not permitted on the roads after dark.

AT DUSK       MOVIE AND POPCORN – Bring a lawn chair or beach towel to enjoy this fun event.  Sponsored by Wild Voice Entertainment and Coffey County Fire District #1.

9:00 am          WORSHIP SERVICE – Join us during breakfast for our Sunday morning worship service provided by First Assembly of God Church.
