Riverside West Campgrounds

John Redmond Reservoir's Riverside West is located on the west bank of the Neosho River and is a 168-acre park situated in old growth bottom land providing a unique park environment for this area of Kansas. 





35 campsites with electric hookups and an additional 6 "primitive" sites near the stilling basin provide a variety of camping spots from full sun to shade.  Additional camping with hook-ups is available across the river in Riverside East camping area.

Reservations Required

Reservations for event dates CANNOT BE MADE ONLINE through the recreation.gov site.

The Riverside West campgrounds will be cleared out before OK Kids Coffey County event campers begin check-in. No campers who are on-site the day before the event will be allowed to stay unless they have already made arrangements with the camp host.

Free OK Kids Coffey County event camping Friday and/or Saturday nights at Riverside West and/or Riverside East campgrounds are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

OK Kids Coffey County Camping Reservation

Pet & Vehicle Rules

Campers who bring pets to the event will be required to keep pets at their campsites on a leash, during the event.

If you are not camping at the event, please leave your pets at home while you attend the events on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday.

Do not bring any pets to Shelter #6 during meal times.

For additional safety reasons, only two vehicles per campsite and NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC other than shuttles, event coordinators, and emergency vehicles will be allowed in the RSW campgrounds during the event. Campers are free to park a vehicle in the Day Parking Area and ride the shuttle to/from there.
