A Rain or Shine Good Time!

OK Kids stands for Outdoor Kansas for Kids. The Kansas Wildscape Foundation and a group of national and local sponsors have made this an annual event throughout the State of Kansas where local communities and park and recreation agencies are encouraged to provide fun and entertaining outdoor events to help give kids a better appreciation of the outdoors.

In Coffey County, Kansas, we've made it a whole weekend of fun at John Redmond Reservoir Riverside West campground.

Camping, Activities, Meals & Fun

You can camp at Riverside West (tents and RVs welcome) or just make it a day trip (Day Parking Area outside the main gate) but plan to have some great outdoor, family fun.

Activities and events & special guests start, rain or shine, at 9:00 a.m. Saturday (catch and release fishing tourney) followed by free lunch, free activities throughout the campgrounds, followed by free supper, a dessert cook-off contest, more activities, then a good night's rest followed by a free breakfast served hot and fresh at 8:00 a.m. Sunday concludes the "free for all" weekend!--yes! come back for a great breakfast Sunday morning even if you don't camp overnight!

Shuttle ServiceOK Kids Coffey County - Shuttle service

Hay rack ride shuttles run from 12:30 to 4:00 pm on Saturday. The shuttle stops at the Day Parking Area (main entrance) and all events in the campground.
